Turning to Earth Slide Presentation

This 45-minute program includes an introductory overview of ecological conversion, drawing on examples from the lives of writers such as Rachel Carson, Edward Abbey and Terry Tempest Williams. The slideshow that follows inspires participants to reflect on their own evolving relation to the natural world. Following this multi-media presentation, participants have a chance to share their own stories of turning to Earth.

Workshops

Marina Schauffler leads workshops and thematic outdoor trips that help people strengthen their connections with the natural world. As a Registered Maine Guide and Sea Kayaking Instructor, she also offers programs through kayak outfitters, inns, local land trusts and Maine Audubon.
