Natural Choices founder and editor, Marina Schauffler, is an environmental writer and communications consultant. Her book, Turning to Earth, explores how we might work to effect environmental change at a more substantive level. She has also written numerous essays, guides, articles and reviews on topics such as ecological living, land conservation, coastal and marine issues, local and natural foods, and place-based education.
In addition to her own writing, Marina does contractual work and communications consulting for environmental organizations and agencies—on projects related to public outreach and green travel. She is a Registered Maine Guide (in the Recreation and Sea Kayaking categories) and periodically leads outdoor trips and programs as well as workshops and slide presentations.
